ABOUT KRYSTEL MCKINNON

Krystel belongs to the Wet’su’weten and Nisga’a Nations and carries her mothers crest of the WhiteGrizzly.

She is the first generation in her family to not attend an Indian Residential School and her goal is to assist communities in healing. She has a background in Criminology and extensive experience working with high-risk youth and their families.

She is a mother of a 21-year-old young man who has Cerebral Palsy, and she is a wellknown advocate for the Special Needs Community.

With her own unique experiences and obstacles in life, she is here to bring tools of knowledge to strengthen our relationship with ourselves and those around us
